플루서의 관점을 빌자면 '필름' 작업은 어떤 의미에서 보면 탈산업과 생산된 사물이 아닌 특정한 정보가 가치를 지니는 사회의 도래에 대한 불편함을 드러내는 후진이기도 하다. 즉, 개별적 사물에 가치를 두고 싶어하는 것이다. 그것은 독점적 소유를 원하고 원활한 분배에 두려움을 느끼는 것인지도 모른다. 그러한 부정적 측면을 무의식적으로 감추기 위해 '감성'과 '향수'라는 말로 자극하는 것인지도 모른다. 침핑 chimping 하는 모습을 우습게 보는 것과 과거 귀족들이 열심히 일하는 것을 천하게 여긴 심리는 동일한 근원을 가졌는지도 모른다.
